Being Mexican, my expectations of a Mexican Restaurant are very high. Gonzalez Mexican Grill is that one restaurant where we have come back again and again. There is NO other Mexican restaurant we will go to. All Mexican restaurants in the area have disappointed us that we just preferred to cook at home. Food is fresh and made to order here. Tastes home made. Drinks are amazing as well! Service is excellent! We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We have tried so many dishes and all are great! You’re missing out.

Now THIS, this place is good. Just really good solid Mexican food. Their asada is just great. Smaller place, pretty authentic for being here in WI. Great service, good drinks, pretty fair prices. Small outside patio. My go-to Mexican food place now. 9.5/10.

On our way home from the Mile of Music we needed some dinner so we checked out reviews for nearby Mexican restaurants and Gonzalez's looked good. We could have sat outside but opted to dine inside so we grabbed a booth. We were quickly set-up with some chips and three types of sauces including one that was more of a cheese sauce. The red and green salsa had alot of heat - good but wow! I ordered the chorizo and ground beef enchiladas which had very good flavor and not too hot sauce. The plate was well presented compared to the average Mexican place. My wife got the chicken burrito - it was huge. She gave it a thumbs up. The prices were reasonable and the service attentive.
